What is hypnotherapy?

Hypnotherapy is a therapeutic approach that uses hypnosis, a natural state of focused attention, to help you access your own internal resources. It’s a state you experience every day, when you’re absorbed in a task, lost in a book, or daydreaming. You remain aware and in control throughout; the process simply allows your attention to turn inward. In this relaxed state, the mind becomes more open, creating space to explore patterns, process emotions, and make meaningful changes.

What can you expect?

In our sessions, we work with the whole of who you are, recognising how closely our inner experiences shape the way we respond to life and the world around us. As you begin to reconnect with your inner world, changes in your outer life often begin to follow naturally. Each session is tailored to your individual needs, combining gentle relaxation with evidence-informed therapeutic approaches. We work at a pace that feels comfortable for you, allowing space to explore what matters most. Sessions typically last around 50 minutes and are guided collaboratively, with time for reflection, conversation, and therapeutic hypnosis where appropriate. All sessions are confidential and conducted in line with professional and ethical guidelines.

How does change happen?

Change often begins with awareness. As we explore your experiences together, patterns in thoughts, emotions, and behaviours can become clearer. Using a combination of therapeutic conversation and hypnosis, we work gently with these patterns to support new ways of responding, relating, and moving forward. Over time, many people notice a greater sense of calm, resilience, and clarity in their lives.
